the big apple (two weekends in a row)

So my brother cade and his wife kellee came out to see us.

We loved hanging out with them. How can you come to Connecticut and not make a trip to the Big Apple? (oh i love that place). And Boston too (i love that place). Checked out Anthropooie :) in Manhattan

And the very next weekend...
I took the ferry to long island to meet up with robin (awesome), brooke (awesome) and kelli (awesome) for an exciting little weekend in the hamptons. I loved loved loved it.

These 3 ladies rocked the "lady with a baby" category.

It was a really beautiful run and the weather couldn't have been better...everything was perfect except for maybe the running 13 miles part.

To all of my marathoner friends...you guys are whack.

...and lucy makes 12. 12 delicious grandbabies, that is, for my mom and dad. I can't wait to squeeze her cute little cheeks. Only if our family would just move to this side of the country, all would be well in the world.

For two boys that despise all things pink and girly,

they sure couldn't get enough of this sweet stuff.

Pink barbie princess skates with lace around the ankles. hmm....

We found the skates at a thrift shop.

I still don't know if they realize they are pink, purple & princessy...

wheels and freedom are all they see.

This little excursion was sweet.

I love love love New York City even more now.
